How it works.

The Center partners with communities, researchers, institutions, and other local individuals and organizations to identify and research policy issues and concerns related to education and general community health and well-being.

We serve as a neutral convener in the Salem-Keizer area, bringing together community members and groups of diverse backgrounds and interests to learn together and tackle issues our community deems important. In particular, the Center supports nonprofit organizations and leaders in Salem-Keizer to cultivate collaborative leadership and a shared commitment to our community.

Here’s what that looks like practically.

Identify or field issues important to our community.

Convene pertinent community members and organizations to engage in collaborative problem-solving and solutions.

Facilitate events and opportunities independently or through the establishment of an internal initiative.

Share and sponsor events with community partners and organizations.

Study issues and publish findings to inform actions beneficial to our community.

The process.

As a community member, your voice is vital. We couldn’t do our work without you.
